The Rio Film Commission, a department of RioFilme, which is part of the Municipal Secretariat of Culture of Rio’s City Hall, executes the public policy of film commission, which aims at supporting, facilitating and attracting audiovisual productions of any format (cinema, TV programs, advertising films, web, among others) to the City of Rio de Janeiro. Our main focus is to provide specialized services to the audiovisual industry, with the main goal of empowering the city as an audiovisual pole and as a destination for productions, whether local or international.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Rio Film Commission’s efforts are focused on making the city of Rio de Janeiro a more “film friendly” location to receive and attract national and international productions. The proposal is to ensure that the experience of filming on location in the city of Rio de Janeiro is a pleasant one, without setbacks.<\/p>\n

Rio Convention & Visitors Bureau\/Visit Rio<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n

\"\"Focused on the aim of expanding the dialogue between all agents involved in audiovisual productions, both public and private, to promote the exchange of information and the planning of joint actions, the Rio Film Commission starts a partnership with the Rio Convention & Visitors Bureau (RCVB) – Visit Rio. What unites us is our focus on attracting productions to Rio and making incredible the experience of filming in our wonderful city, from the logistics (lodging, transportation, food, etc.) to the filming itself.<\/p>\n

The Rio CVB – Visit Rio is a private, non-profit foundation, whose objective is to stimulate and increase the tourist flow to the city of Rio de Janeiro. We work for the attraction of events of any nature and support audiovisual productions in our City.<\/p>\n

The audiovisual production, Brazilian or foreign, always seeks logistical intelligence, economy of financial resources, infrastructure and qualified professionals, besides locations, internal and external, to be the sceneries of the audiovisual stories, and that is why, creating a connection between cities is something very positive. It expands the possibilities of choosing the state of Rio de Janeiro as a destination for audiovisual production, either because of the larger supply of landscapes, or because of the large network of production infrastructure and qualified professionals, and for the other reasons already mentioned.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thus, seeking to strengthen the audiovisual production chain by developing the agents and segments that constitute it and obtain an internationally competitive domestic market and integrate the economic development of the sector with logics of support and promotion, aiming to establish the city of Rio de Janeiro as a national and international pole of filming and productions, articulating the carioca and brazilian production and opening the doors to co-production and production services, the partnership of the Rio Film Commission with municipalities of the state of Rio de Janeiro aims to bring together cities that seek to be “film friendly”,<\/p>\n
